Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 16 Recap "Season Finale"

"Mohawks & Madness, Goodness & Gladness"

This is so exciting and sad all of the same time. It’s about seven in the morning and I’m just getting to watch the show now, but I can tell from the hits to the blog already that something good must have happened. I wish I could’ve stayed awake to watch the show with all of you on Twitter, but my body just wouldn’t cooperate.

It’s sad because the season’s over and now we have to wait until April again for a new episode.

"I Smell A Nightmare"

It’s almost the end of the season. Another storm is coming with 60 knot winds.

Captain Sig Hansen is wondering if they can get anything done let alone fish. Nick Mavar says I smell a nightmare, it doesn’t look good.

Captain Scott Campbell Jr of the Seabrook is getting ready to leave port he has a tight deadline to meet. He says cowboy up, put your big girl panties on, it’s gonna be a gnarly ride boys.

Deadliest Catch After The Catch Episode 3 2011

Henry Kapono is singing and playing the guitar this week.

This episode is called "Save Me". Motivated by something Johnathan Hillstrand said last week. Captain Johnathan is excited he even gave a shout out to his mom. I love that Johnathan and Andy always talk about their mom. I learned last week she runs their Time Bandit store.

Mike Rowe, Johnathan Hillstrand, Andy Hillstrand, Sig Hansen and Keith Colburn are at the table.

Deadliest Catch - Has Jake Anderson's Father Been Found ?

So I'm sitting here watching Deadliest Catch reruns and I started wondering if Jake Anderson's father was ever found. I set out on a mission to see what I could find.

This is what I found.

Jake's father went missing on January 6, 2010.

His name is Keith Anderson, 63 years old, he was a retired school teacher/high school counselor for 23 years at Anacortes, WA. High School where he lives.  He evidently had gotten addicted to Oxycontin when he was given it after surgery on his rotator cuff, and then again about six months later for broken ribs. (I don't know why they don't outlaw this drug, it seems to do more harm than good.) Anyway he went to meet a drug dealer to purchase some Oxy in Sultan or Arlington (I've seen both places named) and was never seen again. He also reportedly had high blood pressure which he left the medicine for at home, and he was suffering from depression. The depression certainly is understandable after losing his daughter Chelsea Dawn in 2009. My guess is the Oxy was adding to the depression problem not helping it.
