Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 16 Recap "Season Finale"

"Mohawks & Madness, Goodness & Gladness"

This is so exciting and sad all of the same time. It’s about seven in the morning and I’m just getting to watch the show now, but I can tell from the hits to the blog already that something good must have happened. I wish I could’ve stayed awake to watch the show with all of you on Twitter, but my body just wouldn’t cooperate.

It’s sad because the season’s over and now we have to wait until April again for a new episode.

Captain Scott Campbell Jr of the Seabrook is getting ready to leave port he has a tight deadline to meet. He says cowboy up, put your big girl panties on, it’s gonna be a gnarly ride boys.

Deadliest Catch Vs. After The Catch

I just saw an article on the ratings for Deadliest Catch last week. The article was bragging about Deadliest Catch being the #1 Primetime cable show in certain demographics and # 3 in all of television, behind The Voice and America's Got Talent. Deadliest Catch had 3 million viewers. Great news.

After The Catch was #5 in all of cable with 1.64 million viewers. Yea!!!

Now what I don't understand is how does someone watch Deadliest Catch and not watch After The Catch? Do we have Deadliest Catch viewers that don't know what After The Catch is?

"It's Not All Mai Tais and Yahtzee"

The show starts out with clips of the storm. Captain Sig Hansen screaming "Get down Get down" again. Finally the storm lets up, now they have to catch up on all the fishing they've missed during the storm.

Captain Scott Jr says he's going to try and get the boat full and push through to the end.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 11 Birds Bones And Blood

"Bird Bones And Blood"

The Deadliest Catch cast has said there were a lot of broken bones this season. I expect we will start seeing them this week after watching last weeks storm.

Ok, so let's see.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 10 Recap Frontier Medicine

"Frontier Medicine"

Opie Season continues amidst the Artic hurricane. It's ugly out.

The Northwestern gets hits with a thirty five foot wave that nearly shattered the front window of the wheelhouse. Captain Sig Hansen decides to quit fishing since he can't control what he wants the boat to do.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 9 Recap Sea Change

"Sea Change"

The sea is certainly changing. We've got crew changes and sea changes with the hurricane coming.

Here we go. Opie season begins. We have a new song at the beginning, and clips of the crews at the bar, the crew, saying hello or good bye to their family. More clips of Captain Keith putting hands on someone pushing him down the hallway, looks like he's ready to punch him, maybe Art Peterson or possibly Monty Colburn, hard to say from the short clip. Lenny Lekanoff getting stitches. Someone getting smacked in the face with the crane hook, Sig Hansen is screaming at the crew to get down as a big wave crashes aboard the Northwestern. A clip of Mike Fourtner with blood coming from his the bridge of his nose. He must be the one that got hit with the crane hook. Then a clip of  Freddie Maughtai with blood all over his face and in his mouth. Knowing Freddie he was probably eating something and got the blood all over himself.

Dale Pruitt New Deckhand - Cornelia Marie - Deadliest Catch

He may be a new deckhand, but he is definitely not a greenhorn. Dale Pruitt has been fishing since he was 14 years old on several different varieties of  boats. He has known Tony Lara for twenty years.

Dale Puritt and some of his family members (son, daughter and a niece) survived a shipwreck aboard a salmon boat in 2007, the F/V Magnum.

Troy Huls "Chief" - Engineer On Cornelia Marie

Troy Huls or "Chief" is one of the new engineer/deckhands aboard the Cornelia Marie.

Troy knew Tony Lara when Tony was Captain Phil Harris' engineer. He has fished since 1986, wow, that's twenty-five years. Troy says he doesn't like fish or crab and doesn't eat it. I think I would feel the same way too if I was on a fishing boat all the time.

Matt Bradley Northwestern Is He High Or Just A Horn Dog?

It sounds like this separation is getting UGLY! As they unfortunately often do. It is such a shame especially with kids involved. Does no one stay married anymore? I don't understand why people don't work harder on their marriages. If you make the commitment you should be all in, not up and leave at the first opportunity.

My oh my. I think Angela hit the anger stage of grief today. Boy did she let her rip. Who can blame her?

Deadliest Catch - After The Catch In Hawaii And Other Updates

The Captains are in Hawaii, well some of them anyway. I just saw a notice from Discovery that they are filming After The Catch in Hawaii. There was a short clip with Keith Colburn, Sig Hansen, Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand. No words just them in a little boat. The caption also said they think Jake Harris, Josh Harris, Derrick Ray and Tony Lara are coming as well.  YouTube Video There was no mention of Wild Bill, Scott Campbell, or Elliot Neese. So I don't know about them. Hummm.

Matt Bradley On Northwestern - What Is He Addicted To?

After Tuesday's episode of Deadliest Catch. I was looking at what people were searching regarding the show.

I was rather surprised to see that people were searching "What drug is Matt Bradley addicted to" and What is Edgar Hansen addicted to". People this is a little twisted I think. Why aren't people searching is Matt Bradley okay, or is he sober? The same thing happened with Jake Harris. Maybe it's me but this just seems odd. I mean the curiosity of what drug he is taking, I don't really get that. I mean to me a drug is a drug. Does it really matter which one he likes? Please someone explain to me the curiosity of why people want to know what drug. What am I missing?

While I don't get it, because so many of you were looking I set out to see what I could find and I still almost didn't post the information, because it is very disturbing. But I finally decided that the information I found was posted on public forums, so they had to know it was going to get circulated and discussed. So here goes.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 8 Recap Graduation Day

"Graduation Day"

We start out with the Seabrooke. The seas look awfully calm from the aerial view. What beautiful shots.

A 1200 hundred mile wide Arctic Hurricane is headed for the Blue Crab grounds and in 19 hours will cover the Red Crab grounds. Well I guess the shots above where the calm before the storm.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 7 Recap Thick As Thieves

"Thick As Thieves"

Well this week was a very interesting and frustrating episode.  I am a person that tries to look at both sides of a situation, and this episode had my head going like a ping pong ball.

We start off with a clip of Freddie Maughtai saying this boat will never be the same, and the policeman is approaching the Cornelia Marie.

The Cornelia Marie is headed back into town. Captain Derrick Ray says he tried to bring a different culture to the boat, but they don't want things to change, they want things the way they were. Well yeah, I don't think they asked you to change the boat, they asked you to Captain the boat. Derrick says he knows there is dope on this boat, he just can't prove it. No there's not they smoked it all. Derrick says its zero tolerance with drugs, the coast guard could take the boat and keep it; they don't even have to give it back with a fine if they don't want too. He says he could lose his license he could go to jail over this. I don't believe that is an entirely true statement. I'll elaborate more after the episode.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 6 Recap

"Exit Wounds"

What the heck the show cut off early had to record it twice to get the ending of the show.

When we left off last week Lynn Guitard had fallen asleep at the wheel of the Wizard. We start this week with Lynn sleeping and Captain Keith waking him up. He yells at him for a little bit and then says "I've been there". Wow I don't know what I was expecting, but I was expecting so much more than that. Captain Keith didn't even hardly yell at him. Must be because he hadn't had coffee yet.  I mean did the boat roll and Captain Keith get thrown out of bed? What woke him up? Was it just time for Captain Keith's watch again? Just expecting something more there.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 5 Recap

"A Wing And A Prayer"

A very interesting episode to say the least.

We get to see the Northwestern. Yea! We will get to see if Jake Anderson caught any crab on the string he set. Oh no the boat has lost all power and is headed for the dock. Edgar Hansen to the rescue! Edgar can't leave, what would they do without him? Where was Nick? Why wasn't he down in the engine room helping? Edgar says this season is going to be legendary. That kind of concerns me. When they first lost power Captain Sig Hansen screamed Edgar drop the anchor, but Edgar went to the engine room and started the backup generator. Captain Sig Hansen is going on about nobody was going to set the anchor, that if Jake Anderson wants to be a Captain he can't just wait for somebody else to handle it. Looked to me like Jake Anderson was doing something he had that big ole rope he was putting up.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 4 Recap Breaking Point

Here we go episode 4. "Breaking Point" I hope we see some Hillstrands, Hansens and Wild Bill.

We start off with the Seabrooke. Getting ready to leave the dock. Captain Scott Campbell, Jr. aka Junior has a replacement arriving for Kyle Babb. A new greenhorn named Josh Fullmer. He'll still be down one man because Bob Perky is on an 8 week leave.

The new greenhorn is all cocky and talking a big game. Usually a sign he won't last long. Josh Fullmer seems like a nice enough guy. I think I'd be scared to wear that lip ring on a crab boat though, how many different things could get a hold of that and rip it out, like a crab. OWWW!

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 3 Recap

"Old Age and Treachery"

We start out with fisherman having flashbacks and making comments.

Jake Harris - I sometimes fall asleep and start dreaming about work. They show a picture of Jake Harris.

Captain Keith of the Wizard - I have dreams that are too close and too eerie, the way they are connected with the boat.

Jake Harris - Then all of a sudden you wake up and you don't know where you are. You don't know what day it is then all of a sudden you're like f**k I'm in the Bering sea.
