Deadliest Catch Season 8 Episode 16 Recap

"The Bitter, Bloody End"

Wow! You can say that again. I didn't notice the title until now. LOL Very appropriate. What a season finale. I would say they saved all the good stuff for the end, but it was really a lot of bad stuff. This season needs to go down in the books as one of the worst ever, if not the worst. I'm looking forward to a better season next year.

This episode has a content warning at the beginning that it contains graphic images which some viewers might find disturbing. You know that's not a good sign. I don't remember normally seeing that before, anyway.

Deadliest Catch After The Catch Episode 4 Recap

"Gamblers"

Elliott Neese is at the table with Mike Rowe. Great! Rolling eyes and sarcasm. Enough with Elliott already. Mike Rowe tells Elliott he was trying to remember the other captains their first year on the show. Elliott says last year was hard because it was his first year as captain and with cameras in his face. Mike asks what changed? Last year he was telling the cameras a lot to get out of the wheelhouse. What changed? Are you finding your way? Elliott said he got to see the show last year and see what actually comes of all the filming. It's pretty cool to see yourself on TV. Mike says it seems like a new level of personal stuff with you. Why did you let us in? Elliott explains that that's what is going on in his life right now.

Deadliest Catch After The Catch Episode 3

"View From Shore"

At the table are Captains Andy, John, Keith, Sig and Elliott Neese. Johnathan is there with oxygen on. He apparently left the hospital to do the show. His idea. Then he went right back after the show was over. Mike Rowe teases him about the bull they call Snowflake. Johnathan says he had a crushed lung, 4 broken ribs one in three places and a hurt pride. Captain Keith says he shouldn't have hurt pride he got on a bull. Elliott, you cowboy'd up. Mike Rowe, you went almost point eight seconds. Everyone is laughing. Captain Sig  the table saying don't make him laugh. Captain Johnathan says you know what there was no lesson to be learned. Andy laughs. Johnathan says he just cowboy'd up. I find it interesting that we didn't see Captain Andy on a bull, with all the horse back riding he does. Was he smart enough not to do it or did they just not show us?

Deadliest Catch Season 8 Episode 6 Recap

"Vital Signs"

Finally I get to watch Deadliest Catch.

A teaser pre show. Captain Keith Colburn is in a room with the new greenhorn Chris Scambler is on the floor. Captain Keith says he needs a pulse and blood pressure immediately. He needs to call the Coast Guard. He asks Chris are you with me? How many fingers am I holding up? He holds up two fingers. Chris says four. It looks like they are in the fore peak and Chris is on the floor. Captain Keith says alright I'm calling the Coast Guard. He runs to the wheel house, picks up the mic takes several deep breaths and calls the Coast Guard.

For those of you who missed the post with the Coast Guard call in November, here it is again. Coast Guard Call

Deadliest Catch Season 8 Episode 5 Recap

"Alien Abduction"

Captain Keith is picking up the new greenhorn Chris from the airport. Monte has told him this is the best looking young kid he saw all summer. Chris tells Captain Keith he has never been on a boat, an airplane or been fishing. He is probably going to make an idiot of himself real quick. Chris' words.

On the Ramblin' Rose. Elliott is still getting low numbers and the crew is still battling the weather. Not a good sign for this episode when it starts out with Elliott.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 16 Recap "Season Finale"

"Mohawks & Madness, Goodness & Gladness"

This is so exciting and sad all of the same time. It’s about seven in the morning and I’m just getting to watch the show now, but I can tell from the hits to the blog already that something good must have happened. I wish I could’ve stayed awake to watch the show with all of you on Twitter, but my body just wouldn’t cooperate.

It’s sad because the season’s over and now we have to wait until April again for a new episode.

Deadliest Catch After The Catch Episode 5 2011

“High Tide”

In Oahu at The Shack the Captains gather for their last episode this season of After The Catch. Dawn Tiki is singing. I just noticed at the beginning of the show where they show the boots. The guys are wearing their jackets. It shouldn't be cold in Hawaii, certainly not the cold like they are used to.

Captains Keith Colburn, Andy Hillstrand, John Hillstrand and Sig Hansen are at the table. Mike Rowe asks were you feeling redemption out there. Captain Sig, there is always redemption where there is a good there is a bad. Mike Rowe says to Jonathan I thought you were the philosopher. Captain Andy, he’s a psychologist. Mike Rowe, Certainly if we’re going to talk about redemption then we have to bring the boys in. Because Jake and Josh Harris have had their hands full, they still have their hands full.

After The Catch Johnathan Hillstrand Fight With Neese

For those of you who seen the picture of Captain Johnathan's black eye, yes the rumors are flying. For those of you who didn't here's a picture of Johnathan Hillstrand with his new tiki cut and black eye.

They did a pretty good job of hiding his shiner on After The Catch I just thought he had a puffy eye.

Deadliest Catch Season 7 Episode 9 Recap Sea Change

"Sea Change"

The sea is certainly changing. We've got crew changes and sea changes with the hurricane coming.

Here we go. Opie season begins. We have a new song at the beginning, and clips of the crews at the bar, the crew, saying hello or good bye to their family. More clips of Captain Keith putting hands on someone pushing him down the hallway, looks like he's ready to punch him, maybe Art Peterson or possibly Monty Colburn, hard to say from the short clip. Lenny Lekanoff getting stitches. Someone getting smacked in the face with the crane hook, Sig Hansen is screaming at the crew to get down as a big wave crashes aboard the Northwestern. A clip of Mike Fourtner with blood coming from his the bridge of his nose. He must be the one that got hit with the crane hook. Then a clip of  Freddie Maughtai with blood all over his face and in his mouth. Knowing Freddie he was probably eating something and got the blood all over himself.

Deadliest Catch CatchCon 2011 Seattle, WA - Fan Festival Report

Two of the main reporters were Tary Southern and Matt McManus.

There were games, relay races, a beer garden and loads of fans from all over. There were fans from New Zealand, South Carolina and Arizona all over the place.

No I didn’t get to go to the Fan Festival, but I sure wished I could have. I did have some issues with my internet connection and Discovery was having some streaming issues, so I didn’t catch everything, but I still managed to gather a lot of exciting information. There are a couple baby spoilers but nothing really big, so it’s safe to read. This article is pretty long but there were tons of things going on. It was an all day event after all.

Oh, the things I learned.
